Hampton Inn Springfield South Enfield

The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. The staff is friendly and professional. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, spaciousness, and convenient location. Rooms offer comfort and effective air conditioning.

Recently stayed one night. Would rank this as one of the less appealing Hamptons I've stayed in - needs a good cleaning and refurbishment. Location was good for our purpose, but the nearly $400 per night rate I paid was robbery and clearly inflated for perhaps graduation weekend (not why I was visiting). The common area/lobby area where guests usually can sit and relax, etc. was taken over by a graduation party (I'm assuming that's what it was), leaving it closed off to the general hotel population from 3 p.m. til late at night. Only one elevator was working, and it seems to be on its last leg. We resorted to using the stairs. Pool area feels grimey and had a distinct mildew smell. We couldn't use the frig in our room because upon opening it, we discovered it had a foul odor. Our room itself also had a pungent odor that did not dissipate. Appreciate the 24/7 coffee but love when Hamptons also have infused water available, which this one did not. Breakfast was decent and the employees were working hard to keep everything clean despite how busy it was. All staff members we encountered were pleasant and hard working.
